White spot bubble phenomenon in solvent-free lamination
Lamination film bubble (white spot)
Composite film bubble generated by the 11 major causes and improvement measures.
1、Causes of generation
(1) The surface of the substrate is not smooth and the ink particles are coarse, so that the adhesive is not sufficiently coated.
(2) Carbon dioxide produced in curing cannot escape from the film with good barrier properties.
(3) Poor wettability of the substrate surface.
(4) The transfer roller adheres to foreign matter or shows scars.
(5) Poor compatibility between ink and adhesive.
(6) The angle at which the film enters the laminating roller is poor.
(7) Insufficient cooling of the laminated film.
(8) The vehicle speed is too fast and the coating effect is poor.
(9) Too long downtime after rolling glue.
(10) Laminating pressure is too low.
(11) Metering roller temperature is too low.
2、Improvement measures
(1) Selection of high-quality materials or an appropriate increase in the amount of coating.
(2) Change to two-component adhesive.
(3) Improve the surface tension of the substrate.
(4) Clean the transfer roller or replacement.
(5) Replace the ink or adhesive.
(6) Adjust the angle.
(7) Reduce cooling roller temperature.
(8) Reduce speed.
(9) Replace adhesive.
(10) Increase transfer roller and glue application roller pressure.
(11) Increase metering roller temperature.
